John Wells [pictured right] and I established the public relations company that bears our names in May 1992. For more than a year before that we'd run our own one-man shows out of our respective spare rooms. John used to clamber into the full business suit and tie before entering his spare room each morning. I didn't.

In the early nineties there were plenty of PR companies in Sydney - still are, they just have different names - but there was a scarcity of firms providing strategic advice at the highest level of organisational endeavour. We joined a select group of practitioners who did just that.

Since then Jackson Wells has consulted to around 500 organisations, including most of Australia's leading corporations and many international ones. We continue to specialise in issues and crisis management, communications strategy, media and government relations, social media, and organisational communications.

We've had many approaches from Australian and overseas outfits seeking to acquire us, but we remain one of this country's oldest independent operators.

We enjoy what we do and we like our clients. We understand strategy and we're strong on ethics. Our constant goal is to practice effective public relations.
